2008-2011
PhD student funded by the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science (FPI Fellowship)

My PhD research is conducted under the joint supervision of Miguel B. Araújo and Miguel A. Zavala, a researcher at the CIFOR-INIA in Madrid.
My thesis will address the effects of global change on species distributions, taking into account the influence of biotic interactions, such as competition and facilitation as well as population dynamics.
I hope to improve upon current, existing models to more accurately predict possible biodiversity hotspots in the future so this information can be used for biodiversity management under different possible scenarios
The first two years of my thesis work will be performed at CIFOR (2007 and 2008) and the latter two years (2009 and 2010) at the museum. During the 2007-2008 period I will participate in all events and activities held by the museum.
